Society for Macedonian Studies

DOTSOFT A.E. has undertaken the implementation of the project “Digitization and Documentation of the Archives of the Society for Macedonian Studies and Creation of a Digital Museum,” within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0.”

The project is being implemented on behalf of the Society of Information S.A., with the Society for Macedonian Studies (E.M.S.) acting as the Operating Authority.

ΓFor the next 24 months, our team will work to highlight the cultural wealth of Macedonia, transforming it into a modern, interactive, and open digital environment.

The new Digital Museum will provide the public with access to rare documents, artworks, manuscripts, and historical archives of the E.M.S., bringing the culture closer to everyone.

The scope of the project includes:

  • The digitization, documentation, and scientific processing of the cultural assets of the E.M.S., covering the Library, Gallery, and archival material.
  • The creation of a Digital Museum and an online portal through which the digitized cultural wealth of Macedonia will be showcased and made available to the public.
  • The procurement of equipment, specialized content management software, as well as educational and support services for the testing and operational functionality of the systems.

This initiative makes a significant contribution to the preservation, promotion, and display of the historical and cultural heritage of Macedonia, making the material of the Society for Macedonian Studies accessible to researchers, educators, students, and the general public.

DOTSOFT leverages its extensive experience in cultural technology, digital museology, and data management to develop a modern digital ecosystem that will serve as a hub of knowledge, education, and culture.
