The company DOTSOFT S.A. signed a contract with the Municipality of Kalavryta for the project titled: “Innovative Actions for the Utilization and Promotion of the Digital Cultural Heritage of the Municipal Museum of the Kalavritan Holocaust.”

The purpose of the Municipal Museum of the Kalavritan Holocaust is the collection, documentation, preservation, exhibition, and interpretation of all types of museological material related to the events of the Holocaust of December 13, 1943, in Kalavryta, as well as the events that preceded and followed it throughout the wider region of the Kalavryta province.

Within the framework of the project, DOTSOFT S.A., specialized in the digitization of cultural and historical content, undertook the digitization, complete scientific documentation, management, and presentation of the cultural and scientific material held by the Municipal Museum of the Kalavritan Holocaust. The company also designed a new website and developed a mobile application (Android & iOS) for promoting the museum’s activities and offering a virtual tour of its exhibition spaces.
In addition, the project included the design and development of a repository compatible with the Europeana Data Model, its integration with the National Documentation Centre (EKT), and the distribution of metadata to both the National Aggregator of Digital Cultural Resources and the European Digital Platform Europeana, in full compliance with the interoperability specifications set by the National Documentation Centre for Digital Content.

The project was funded by the European Union and was completed within three months.
