Dotsoft has been appointed subcontractor for the project “Digitization of Data Archives of the Ministry of Justice.” The project is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” and aims to modernize and improve access to judicial information through the digital transformation of the physical archives of courts and prosecutor’s offices across Greece.
Under the contract, approximately 38.8 million pages from documents and books maintained in Magistrates’ Courts, Courts of First Instance, Courts of Appeal, and Prosecutor’s Offices in various regions of the country will be digitized. The process involves the use of high-speed scanners and specialized book scanners to capture documents with accuracy and high quality.
The scope of the project includes:
- Recording and organizing the physical archive.
- Scanning and digitizing documents for secure storage and management.
- Documenting and entering key information into information systems.
- Quality control of both the digital files and the recorded data.
The digitization of the Ministry of Justice’s archive represents a significant step toward the digital transformation of the Justice sector, contributing to improved operation of judicial services, reduced case-processing times, and easier access to information for citizens and competent authorities. The project is expected to be completed within 23 months from the signing of the execution contract.
