DOTSOFT S.A. has signed a contract with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organization for the implementation of the project titled “Digital Actions for the Promotion and Preservation of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall’s Archives.”
The purpose of the contract is the organization, documentation, digitization, management, and presentation of the cultural and scientific content held by the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, enabling the preservation, utilization, and promotion of its collections and archives. Key aspects of the project include the development of digital services and applications employing augmented and virtual reality technologies, making the material accessible both to specialized researchers and the general public. The central goal of the initiative is to maximize the outreach, educational role, and social contribution of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
The project consists of four distinct phases:
- Content Production – Digitization and Documentation of diverse materials, including programs, posters, architectural plans, historical photographs, scores, manuscripts, books, costume and prop collections, musical instruments, audiovisual material, and a press archive.
- Procurement and Installation of Equipment.
- Development and customization of applications, including the modernization of the Concert Hall’s official website; a digital library featuring programs, posters, scores, and historically significant documents from private collections; a digital interactive educational application; a digital interactive timeline showcasing the evolution of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall from its conception to its inauguration; and a 3D interactive virtual tour.
- Publicity Actions.
This contract is part of Subproject 1 of the initiative “Digital Actions for the Promotion and Preservation of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall’s Archives” (MIS Code 5093594), which has been included in the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation 2014–2020”, co-financed by the European Union (European Regional Development Fund – ERDF) and national funds through the Public Investment Programme.
